University students in this study had a positive attitude toward scientific concepts. Gender was not a factor in determining whether a person has a positive or negative attitude and belief toward scientific and pseudoscientific concepts. University student's level of health literacy was lower than the predicted 17 out of 23 correct responses. Deductive preference was not found to be associated with belief in science or pseudoscience.Statements were devised that included health care practices that were considered scientific in order to balance the items. ... were eliminated in favor of statements dealing with the public health system and vaccination to balance the survey.
