Hi Brad. I just came across your site while searching around for HP ingredient info. I just acquired a new bottle of HP here in Canada, and was noticing it's different from my old one. I was shocked to see it no longer carries the "By Appointment to Her Majesty the Queen" stamped on it!
Also, the ingredients are different. The new one has the ingredients you list, with water first. The old one has: Malt Vingear, Water, Dates, Glucose-fructose, Refiner's molasses, Tomato paste, salt, Tamarinds, Onions, Modified corn starch, Garlic and Spices.
So now I wonder, did they change the ingredients and the Queen no longer approved?! Or is she just too tired to taste test and appoint products. And is this unique to Canada, or does the UK have the same ingredients.
The new label also focuses more on the Big Ben part of the Houses of Parliament, and no longer lists the possible uses like "Chops and Bacon & Eggs."
My older bottle was old, but not ancient, lol.
