I remember these! I wanted one as a kid but my Dad made me a sit on train instead. I don't think he could carve a brown sauce bottle, and we were a Hammonds house for that matter.
HP had quite a few promotional items like this in the 60s and 70s, including inflatable and large plastic bottles, which will still occasionally turn up in flea markets and charity shops.

brings back lovely memories,we got one of theese for our son dean who is now 38,who spent hours and hours playing on it until he wore the wheels down and it would no longer move.we would love to find one for our grandson!

I'm 39 and have been scouringthe internet of a picture of this - I remember riding one as a child although it seemed much bigger back then - I'm just thinking of all the people that thought I'd dreamt this up - they're not going to be laughing much longer - thankyou to whoever posted this image !
