Brown Sauce – CD Kitchen

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon instant beef bouillon granules
  • 1 1/2 cup hot water

Preparation:

  • Melt butter in a saucepan.
  • Stir in flour.
  • Cook and stir over medium low heat for 15 to 20 minutes or until browned.
  • Dissolve bouillon granules in hot water and add to flour mixture.
  • Bring to boiling stirring constantly. Boil for 3 to 5 minutes.
  • Reduce heat and simmer about 30 minutes or until reduced to 1 cup liquid, stirring frequently.
  • Serve with meat or use instead of gravy.
