Spam Fritters

Spam Fritters ( My mother’s recipe except she didn’t use beer)

Ingredients:

    60 g selfraising flour
    1 small egg
    Seasoning
    Some flat beer
    1 tin spam cut into 10 mm slices

Preparation:

  • Prepare a fairly thick batter and dip the SPAM slices in the batter to coat well.
  • Shallow fry in a pan cooking about 2 to 3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  • Drain on kitchen towel and serve immediately with mashed potatoes, baked beans and lots of HP sauce.
