Tasty & Tender Steak Medallions
This recipe was sent to me by an online friend in Australia. The recipe was on a tag (included with bottles of HP Sauce) as part of a promotional campaign entitled “warming winter recipes”.

Ingredients
- 400g Beef steak, sliced in thick medallions
- 1/4 tsp baking soda
- 2 tbsp water
- Some oil for pan-frying
Seasonings & Onion
- 1 small onion, thinly sliced
- 1 tbsp HP Sauce
- 1 tsp light soy sauce
- 1/2 cup stock
- Some oil for pan-frying
Preparation:
- Marinate steak with baking soda and water for 15 minutes in a shallow dish or plastic bag in fridge
- Heat pan with oil and pan-fry steaks. Drain and set aside.
- Heat pan with oil, stir fry onion slices.
- Add seasonings and bring to a boil.
- Return steak to pan and heat through. Steak cooked to medium rare/pink centre is recommended.

Cooking: 6-8 mins
